Upgrade Scenarios
The new Reporting Database installer removes Monitor; therefore, the upgrade choreography differs depending on if you would like to keep using Monitor.
Retiring Monitor and Proceeding with only Reporting Database 2.3.x.x
Install and configure the Reporting Database 2.3.x.x as described in the Ivanti EPMM Reporting Database Essentials Guide.
Retaining Monitor 2.2.x.x and upgrading to the Reporting Database 2.3.x.x
To retain Monitor 2.2.x.x and upgrade to the Reporting Database 2.3.x.x:

Clone the existing VM to template from the ESXi client.

Upgrade the Reporting Database to version 2.3.x.x as described in the Ivanti EPMM Reporting Database Essentials Guide, and then change the IP address and hostname.

Reconnect Ivanti EPMM to Reporting Database by regenerating the authorization key.

Create a new VM with the cloned VM template and start the VM.

Once the VM is up and running, stop the Reporting Database service from the Ivanti EPMM System Manager.

Before Upgrading from 2.1.0.0 to 2.3.0.0
If you have 2.1.0.0, Ivanti recommends that you upgrade to the latest version, 2.3.0.0. Before upgrading to 2.3.0.0, run the https://support.mobileiron.com/rdb/2.1.0.0/rdb_2.1.0.0_upgrade_fix-1.0-4.el7.noarch.rpm on the 2.1.0.0 environment:

Login into CLI.

Select enable and enter your password.

Run the command:
install rpm url https://support.mobileiron.com/rdb/2.1.0.0/rdb_2.1.0.0_upgrade_fix-1.0-4.el7.noarch.rpm
