Prerequisites

You need the following components and configurations in place before installing the Ivanti Neurons for MDM Splunk App:

•Splunk Splunk 6.4 or higher.

•Ivanti Neurons for MDM Instance.

•Java 8 or higher.

•On the target Ivanti Neurons for MDM instance, create a user with the Device Management and System Read Only roles. This is the user you will use to authorize the Splunk app to pull information from your Ivanti Neurons for MDM instance. See “Adding Users” and “Managing Users” in the Ivanti Neurons for MDM online help for guidance on completing this task.

•Splunk reference hardware for the Search Head.

•Ensure that there are no enterprise firewalls blocking access to port 443 of your Ivanti Neurons for MDM cluster. The Splunk app and Ivanti Neurons for MDM communicate over this port. For instance, the clusters https://na1.mobileiron.com or https://na2.mobileiron.com in North America, https://eu1.mobileiron.com in Europe, and our AP1 and AP2 clusters in Asia. You only need access to the cluster on which your organization's tenant is located.
