Lost Device Access Procedure

Ivanti Access has an email-based One-Time Password (OTP) recovery option for users who lose access to their Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) device. This feature provides a secure and convenient way to regain account access without administrative intervention. Users can request an OTP via email to authenticate and reset their 2FA settings.

Procedure

  1. Enter your username and password on the login screen.

  2. Click Sign In to proceed.

  3. On the next screen, enter the 2FA code from your authenticator app (e.g., Ivanti Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator).

  4. If you cannot access your 2FA device, click Can't access 2FA device?

This triggers an OTP email to your registered email address.

  5. On the next screen, enter the OTP received via email.

The OTP expires in 5 minutes.

  6. If you enter the correct OTP:

    1. 2FA is turned off for your account.

    2. You are redirected to the 2FA setup screen to reconfigure your authentication method.

  7. If you enter an incorrect OTP five times, you will be blocked for 1 hour and redirected to the login screen.

  8. Click Resend OTP if needed:

    1. You can resend OTP up to four times within 10 minutes.

    2. After the fourth request, the Resend OTP option is disabled for 1 hour.
