Notifications Configuration

Using the Notifications configuration, administrators can schedule silent and visible notifications for iOS devices. The Notifications configuration can also be cloned, exported, or deleted.

Prerequisites

  • The Ivanti Go app must be installed on the device.
  • The Ivanti Go app must be launched at least once after device registration.

Procedure

  1. Go to Configuration > +Add.

  2. Select Notifications configuration.

  3. Enter a name for the configuration.

  4. Enter a description.

  5. In the Configuration Setup section, select one or both Notification Scheduling options: 

    • Silent Notification Scheduling - Silent notifications are used to support background device‑management operations initiated by Ivanti Neurons for MDM. They enable automated actions such as compliance checks, policy updates, and app updates without requiring user interaction. Ivanti Neurons for MDM sends silent notifications to the device at the configured level.
    • Visible Notification Scheduling - Visible notifications are used when user awareness or action is required to maintain device compliance, security, or functionality. Visible notifications are triggered only after the specified interval, even if multiple actions or events occur during that period. A visible notification is shown on the device only if a silent notification has not been sent during the visible‑notification interval.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Select one of the following distribution options:

    • All Devices
    • No Devices(default)
    • Custom

  8. Click Done.

Visible Notification Content for MTD devices - Your device could be vulnerable to threats. Please launch the Ivanti Go application and check Threat Defense status.
