Cisco Discovery Protocol is a device discovery protocol that runs over Layer 2 (Data link). It allows network management applications to automatically discover and learn about other Cisco devices connected to the network.

Total number of users connected to Pulse Connect Secure or Pulse Policy Secure simultaneously.

Link Layer Discovery Protocol is a neighbor discovery protocol that is used for network devices to advertise information about themselves to other devices on the network.

Managed devices can be detected by the MDM or a Pulse Client session is established on the device.

Mobile device management (MDM) manages the mobile devices, such as smartphones, tablet computers, laptops and desktop computers. MDM is usually implemented with the use of a thirdparty product that has management features for particular vendors of mobile devices.

A profile is the combination of the MAC OUI, Category and OS for a device.

A profile change occurs when a device changes its OS or category.
