Bandwidth Management

The Traffic Manager can apply limits on the bandwidth used by connections to the back-end nodes. These limits may be useful if the back-end nodes reside in a remote datacenter, and the bandwidth to the remote site needs to be managed.

You can apply bandwidth limits to a pool by clicking the Bandwidth Management link on the Pools > Edit page for that pool. Select a bandwidth management class and click the Update button.

The bandwidth limit only applies to data sent from the Traffic Manager system to the remote server node. The Traffic Manager does not apply a limit on the bandwidth from the remote node back to the Traffic Manager. Bandwidth Management is covered in detail in Bandwidth Management.

Bandwidth Management is not available on all Traffic Manager configurations. If required, it can be obtained via a software or license key upgrade.
