Creating a Traffic Manager Instance on Amazon EC2

This chapter describes how to install and configure the Traffic Manager virtual machine on Amazon EC2. To install the Traffic Manager software variant on an existing EC2-based Linux or UNIX virtual machine, see instead Installing the Traffic Manager Software on EC2 or GCE.

To create a Traffic Manager virtual machine, create one or more instances from the Traffic Manager AMI. No other installation procedure is necessary. All you need to do is login to the instance and configure it.
