Add a new Task
At Modules, from the Tasks tab of a selected Module, you can add a new Task.
Configuration
- In the Select task page, you can search for the specific Task.
- Type part of the Task's name in the Search field and press Enter.
- Browse in the tree of available Tasks per category.
- Select the Task and the Edit task page opens to specify the configuration (depends on the Task).
- In general, the following tabs are apply:
- Properties tab
- Error control: If a Module contains several Tasks, error control determines what should happen if one of those Tasks fails:
- Stop Job on error: Ivanti Automation will stop if a Task fails. The remaining Tasks in the Module will not be started.
- Continue Job on error: Ivanti Automation will move on to the next Task in the Module.
- Module Parameters tab:
- Use this tab to view and manage all parameters used in the Task. From here, you can add, delete, rearrange, autocreate and cleanup your Module parameters. With Module parameters, you can parameterize various settings in the Task. See also Module parameters.
- Condition tab
- Use this tab to have an overview of the conditions used in the Module. From here, you can add, edit and delete conditions. Conditions determine before execution whether a Task should be executed, skipped or failed. See also Conditions.
- Evaluator tab
- Use this tab to have an overview of the evaluators used in the Module. From here, you can add, edit and delete evaluators. Evaluators determine after execution whether the follow-up Task needs to continue or fail based upon the results of the query. See also Evaluators.
