Job History details

At Job History, you get a basic overview of the results of the completed Jobs, but the provided information is limited. It is also not possible to compare the various Tasks and/or Agents. It is therefore often necessary to view the detailed results of a Job.

To view the details of a Job, select the relevant Job in the Job History overview.

Properties tab

  • Use the Properties tab to get a summary of the Job with information about the status of the Job, when the Job started and when it stopped, how long the Job ran, what was executed and by whom, etc.
  • Under Job Invoker and Invoked by, you see who triggered the Job; a user, Team or Run Book, or as part of a recurring Job. If the Job was triggered by a Team, this usually means that the Job was performed because a Team member was added to or removed from the Team. To view to the relevant Team, Run Book or Recurring Job, click the button Show Job Invoker.

Job Parameters tab

  • Use the Job Parameters tab when parameters were used in the Job. It shows the parameters and the values they had during execution of the Job.

Tasks tab

  • Use the Tasks tab to view which Agents performed the Task(s), including the status (in %) per Task: Scheduled result%_scheduled, Started result%_started, Skipped result%_skipped, Completed result%_completed, Failed/Canceled result%_failed.
  • To see the details of a specific Task, select it.
    • On the Configuration tab, you have an overview of the Task properties, (satisfied) conditions, resolved parameters and other settings as they existed during execution of the Job.
    • On the Agents tab, you have an overview of all Agents that performed the Task. Clear the option Show Agents that are marked obsolete for this Job by Snapshot Intelligence to hide Agents for which this Job has become obsolete because the Agent has reverted to a snapshot.
  • To see the summary details of the Task for a specific Agent, select the Agent. Click Details to zoom in:
    • On the Configuration tab, you have an overview of the Task properties, (satisfied) conditions, resolved parameters and other settings as they existed during execution of the Job on that Agent.
    • On the Results tab, you have the detailed results of the Task on that Agent.
  • For Query Task results of a specific Agent, you can also save the results as a CSV file or a TXT file.
  • For Query Tasks that contain evaluators, the option Only show data returned by evaluator allows you to filter the Query results.
  • For Query Task results on more than one Agent, the option Compare selected is available to compare the results for several Agents:
  • Click Swap rows and columns to change the view.
  • Click the Similarities button to hide or mark similarities. For example, for the Task Query Installed programs you can hide all similar programs in its Job history and so view only the differences between the Agents.

Agents tab

  • Use the Agents tab to view which Tasks were performed per Agent, including the status (in %) per Agent: Scheduled result%_scheduled, Started result%_started, Skipped result%_skipped, Completed result%_completed, Failed/Canceled result%_failed. This tab is useful when you want to view the Task results for a specific Agent in detail.
  • Clear the option Show Agents that are marked obsolete for this Job by Snapshot Intelligence to hide Agents for which this Job has become obsolete because the Agent has reverted to a snapshot.
  • To see the details of a specific Agent, select it.
  • To see the summary details of the Task for a specific Agent, select the Task. Click Details to zoom in:
    • On the Configuration tab, you have an overview of the Task properties, (satisfied) conditions, resolved parameters and other settings as they existed during executing of the Job on that Agent.
    • On the Results tab, you have the detailed results of the Task on that Agent.
  • For Query Task results of a specific Agent, you can also save the results as a CSV file or a TXT file.
  • For Query Tasks that contain evaluators, the option Only show data returned by evaluator allows you to filter the Query results.

Job History tab

  • Use the Job History tab to view the history of the specific Job. This information is only shown if the scheduled Job is still active as a recurring Job.

Audit Trail tab

  • Use the Audit Trail tab to view a list of changes made to the Job. It shows information about when the Job was created, what was executed and by whom.
