Additionally, the following software is required:

  • Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 and higher.
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 (Full version) or newer on the machine running the Ivanti Automation Installer.
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1 (Full version) or newer on all machines hosting a Dispatcher.
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 or newer on all machines running an Agent+.
  • When upgrading from a previous version of Ivanti Automation, refer to the Ivanti Automation Upgrade Guide available here.

Note: An active Internet connection is needed, in case the .NET Framework is not yet installed. The Ivanti Automation Management Portal Installer will download and install the framework via this connection.

Operating System

We recommend installing the Ivanti Automation Management Portal on a web server. For evaluation purposes, you can also install it on a workstation. We do not recommend installing it on a domain controller.

Other requirements

When deploying components from the Console, disable the User Account Control feature, as this feature does not support silent installations.

Other requirements for Agents:

  • Allow Ivanti Automation traffic in the Microsoft Windows Firewall. Please refer to the document Antivirus Recommendations Ivanti Enterprise for recommended exclusions for real-time antivirus scanning.
  • Remote Registry service enabled
  • Simple File Sharing (or Use Sharing Wizard) disabled
  • IPC$ enabled
  • Not all Ivanti Automation Tasks may be functional on all operating systems.
