Create the following string value to configure Microsoft Windows dots-per-inch (DPI) scale factor. This is needed for Workspace Control to correctly save desktop icon positions on multi-monitor systems and remote sessions.

The value of the Data field depends on the scale factor configured in Microsoft Windows under Windows Settings > System > Display > Scale and layout > Change the size of text, apps, and other items.
Configure the Data field of the registry string with an appropriate value from the DPI column:

  • This registry string is applicable to Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 or higher.

  • Some limitations in Microsoft Windows prevent Ivanti Workspace Control from correctly restoring the desktop icon positions in the following situations:

    • If the option Align icons to grid is enabled in Microsoft Windows. For more details, see Desktop icon positions are not retained.

    • If there are more desktop shortcuts than can be placed in the working area.
