ForcePrinterConnections

When using Composition > User Settings only to restore printer connections, only the default printer gets connected. Checking the registry for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\Connections shows that all printers are restored properly, but not connected, with the exception of the default printer.

Create the following string value to configure the connecting of all restored printers.

  • Configuring the registry setting can cause an increase in logon times depending on how many printers a user has selected. Printers are connected one by one.

  • A global user setting must be configured for capturing the registry tree HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\Connections under Composition > User Settings.
