LocatePrintersByIP

Create the following string value to configure Workspace Control to remember the default printer based on the Client Subnet ID instead of using the Client Name.

The registry setting functions only when configuring the default printer from a client operating system (OS). When configuring the default printer from a server OS, the default printer is still saved based on the Client Name.

This registry value only works when setting the default printer from a client Operating System (e.g. Microsoft Windows 10). When setting the default printer from a server Operating System, the default printer will be saved based on the Client name.

By setting this registry value, a new section will be added to the pwruser.ini file: RoamingPrintersIP.

Remember the default printer based on Client Subnet ID (instead of Client name)

• Configuring LocatePrintersByIP creates a new section named RoamingPrintersIP in the pwruser.ini file.

• In the Workspace Control Console, under Composition > Actions By Type > Printers > Settings tab, when the Allow users to choose default printer per location, based on: > IP network address for all Agents option is selected, it replaces the behavior of LocatePrintersByIP if the registry setting is present in your Workspace Control environment.
  It is possible for the IP network address for all Agents option can be selected, while the LocatePrintersByIP registry setting can be removed from the Workspace Control environment or its Data field can be configured to No.
