Import Building Blocks

Building Blocks can be imported from the following locations in the Workspace Control Console:

  • Main menu > Action

  • Main bar > Building Blocks Building Block

  • The context menu of individual applications > Building Block > Import

  • The context menu of individual settings > Import Building Block

Settings and applications contained within Building Blocks are all imported into the Workspace Control site when importing Building Blocks from the Action menu. However, individual Workspace Control nodes, settings and applications can be manually excluded before the Building Block is imported.

When importing Building Blocks using the Building Block button or by right-clicking Workspace Control nodes, only the settings or applications relevant to that specific node are imported. Other information contained in the Building Block is ignored.

When importing Building Blocks by right-clicking Workspace Control settings or applications, only the configuration for that specific setting or application is imported. Other information contained in the Building Block is ignored.

If Building Blocks contain data for a feature that is not available in the Workspace Control Console, the data is ignored. This occurs, for example, with deprecated features.
