Prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be met before installing Ivanti Virtual Desktop Extender:

Prerequisites for VDX components

VDX Admin Pack	Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or later (client profile install)
VDX Engine	Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or later (full install)
VDX Licensing	Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or later (full install)
VDX Plugin	Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or later (client profile install)

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 is included in the Ivanti VDX Installer.

Consider the following:

To run the VDX Licensing Console after installing the VDX Admin Pack, a full install of Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or later is required.
If VDX Plugin or VDX Engine run in VDX Mode: b on Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, the color scheme changes to basic during the remote session.
VDX supports all editions of Ivanti Workspace Control, except Ivanti Workspace Control Core.
VDX supports all infrastructures based on either RDP or ICA, including Citrix XenApp 6.5, 7.5, and XenDesktop 7, 7.1. When VDX Engine runs on a Citrix server, the Citrix client software is required on all local clients.
VDX supports Microsoft RemoteFX — a platform feature developed for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, granting users a better multi-media experience in remote desktop environments.
