Settings
The following VDX Engine settings can be configured from the Settings tab:

Enables full VDX functionality. If disabled, window management by VDX is disabled.

Ignores any Ivanti Workspace Control settings for VDX. If VDX is started through Workspace Control, it still used its own settings, licenses, etc. This option is only relevant when using VDX in combination with Workspace Control.

Disables the screen saver in the remote session.

Enables the local application shortcuts configured on the Configuration > Shortcuts tab. For more details, see Configuration.

Enables the file type redirections configured on the Configuration > Engine -> Plugin Redirections and Configuration > Plugin -> Engine Redirections tabs. For more details, see Configuration.

When selecting autodetect or yes, running client applications can be freely moved in and out of the VDX session by users.

When Windows keys passthrough is enabled for user sessions running on Microsoft Windows 8/8.1, and Windows Server 2012/2012 R2, the ALT + Tab and ALT + Shift + Tab key combinations do not work. These combinations switch between application windows,

Shows the start menu of the client in an alternate start menu, accessible from the VDX tray icon on the remote desktop.
The client start menu offers a Search option. This enables VDX users to search for applications by typing in the application name.

Shows the desktop shortcuts of the client in an alternate start menu, accessible from the VDX tray icon on the remote desktop.
Enter the name of the client desktop in the Title field.

Shows the notification area of the client in an alternate start menu, accessible from the VDX tray icon on the remote desktop.
Enter the name of the client notification area in the Title field.

Disabled |
Enables VDX to run in native Extender mode. In this mode, local applications run seamlessly within the remote desktop, but the local application windows are not managed by VDX. The local applications are not part of the Z-order, but they are present on the taskbar as if they are running in the remote desktop. Switching to Extender mode is useful when dealing with applications that cannot be properly managed by VDX. |

Ignores running client processes from VDX integration. Separate multiple processes with semicolons (;).
These applications are not available through VDX and/or the client desktop and client Start Menu folders.

Allows to change the title and the message of the information balloon that is displayed along with the VDX tray icon in the client notification area.

Show balloon
Select it to enable the display of the VDX information balloon. Deselect it to disable the display of the VDX information balloon.When using Ivanti Workspace Control with the VDX integration enabled, the Show balloon option functions only if the Workspace Control Agents and the Workspace Control Console are upgraded to Ivanti Workspace Control 2021.2 (version 10.6.50.0) or higher.
