Product Life Cycle Policy for Ivanti Virtual Desktop Extender (VDX)

Ivanti aims to deliver high quality software, but if an issue is found it should be reported to Customer Support for investigation and confirmation.

Maintenance of the former RES products is offered for one or two years, based on the level of support that was purchased.

As described at Ivanti Support and Maintenance Services Supplemental Terms, customers that purchased RES Solution Assurance are entitled to Ivanti Professional support, which comes with one year of product maintenance. Customers that purchased RES Premium Solution Assurance are entitled to Ivanti Enterprise support, which comes with two years of product maintenance.

Once a product maintenance period expires then the product enters an End of Maintenance (EoM) state and no further updates for the product will be developed or tested by Ivanti. To ensure our customers continue to benefit from the latest fixes, feature additions and platform support, Ivanti strongly recommends they upgrade to the latest product versions.

Customers who have an active support contract with Ivanti, and continue to use any product after its EoM date, will retain access to existing product resources and to our technical support teams. On the other hand, Ivanti will not create updates for EoM versions if an investigation identifies that one is required. In these cases, our support team will advise the customer of any later release of the product in which the issue is fixed, or will document and report the issue to the relevant Ivanti Product Management team for possible inclusion in future product releases.

The End of Life (EoL) date signifies when security-related hot fixes, technical support and product downloads will no longer be available. Technical support for other issues will be limited to information contained in the Ivanti Community Portal. If the issues cannot be corrected through this method, then an upgrade path or migration to the latest version or product replacement is recommended.

The End of Maintenance (EOM) and End of Life (EOL) dates are set with the release of a new major release of that product. The tables below give more detail.
