Workspace Control can use two methods to refresh details of Citrix XenApp published applications:

  • SelfService.exe –poll: Contact the server to refresh application details.
  • SelfService.exe –ipoll: Same as above, but if no authentication context is available, the user is prompted for credentials.

SelfService.exe -poll (the default method as of Workspace Control version 10.1) is usually considerably faster, but under rare circumstances it can cause Instant Passthrough to fail.
Set this registry value to No if you experience this issue. This will change the method to SelfService.exe –ipoll. (only for Workspace Control 10.1.400.0 and higher)

Please note, that in Workspace Control version 10.0 and earlier, the default method was SelfService.exe –ipoll.
