Instead of displaying the application icon, Workspace Control can be configured to use a default icon that indicates the application's type of access. For example, a globe indicates that all users have access to the application.
When editing the application, the application icon is still shown.

Configure the following string value to hide application icons in the Start Menu and Application List tabs in the Workspace Control Console under Composition > Applications.
