Step 4: Testing for and Verifying the New Certificate

You can use the Test Console Configuration command to verify your new certificate environment.

stmgmt.exe -test_console

The section titled Testing for console issuing certificate configuration of the command output will show that your sub-authority certificate was found and that it was issued by your root authority.

Another way to verify your new environment is to check that the new console, scheduler and agent certificates have been issued and distributed to the correct certificate stores.

The new console certificate will be issued and distributed automatically and in very short order as part of using Ivanti Patch for Windows® Servers.

New scheduler certificates will be issued whenever the Ivanti Scheduler is installed or an agentless deployment using the Ivanti Scheduler is performed.

A new agent certificate will be automatically issued whenever a new agent is installed or when an existing agent's certificate needs to be reissued.
