Exchange / ActiveSync Payload (iOS)

An Exchange / ActiveSync payload allows you to configure the device to connect to an Exchange server. If the user provided his username and password when he enrolled, the only information required for this payload is the domain name of the Exchange server. If an Exchange / ActiveSync payload has already been installed on the device, in order to change the settings, you must remove the existing payload and then install the new payload.

If the device user does not provide a username and password when the device is enrolled, the device will not use the settings in an Exchange payload.

The key usage type for the certificates must include key encipherment. You must configure the Certificate Credentials payload with the certificate before it will appear in the list of available certificates.
