Use the Network tab in the Avalanche Update Settings dialog box to configure the IP network settings for the mobile device.You may be required to reboot the mobile device before the new settings are applied.
The Network, Name Server, and Wireless tabs are only available when accessing the configuration utility from the ActiveSync interface. If you want to configure these options for the mobile device after installation, you can use an Avalanche network profile or Scan to Config.
Network Tab
The following list describes the options in the Network tab:
Configure Network Settings |
Indicates whether the Enabler configuration controls the IP network settings for the mobile device. Default Value: <Disabled> |
DHCP |
Indicates whether the mobile device receives its IP address from a DHCP server. If you enable the DHCP option, the DCHP server will provide the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway fields. You will not be able to configure these manually. Default Value: <Disabled> |
IP Address |
Indicates the IP address of the mobile device. Possible Values: Any valid IP address |
Subnet Mask |
Indicates the subnet mask for the IP address of mobile device. Possible Values: Any valid subnet mask |
Gateway |
Indicates the gateway (router) the mobile device will use to send data to remote networks. Possible Values: Any valid gateway address |
