Use the User Interaction tab of the Avalanche Update Settings dialog box to configure passwords for the Enabler and to specify whether a user is notified before an Avalanche software package is installed. Passwords are not case sensitive.
The User Interaction, Menu, and Registry tabs are not available when accessing settings on the mobile device. These settings must be configured from the configuration utility.
User Interaction Tab
The following list describes the options in the User Interaction tab:
Secure Settings with Password |
Indicates whether a user at the mobile device must supply a password before being allowed to access the Enabler settings. Default Value: <Enabled> |
Settings Password |
Indicates the password that a user at the mobile device must supply before being allowed to access the Enabler settings. Possible Values: <Up to 50 alpha-numeric characters> Default Value: system |
Prompt for password when exiting Monitor |
Indicates whether a password is required before the Monitor terminates. If the Monitor is set to terminate when the Enabler is closed, the user will not be able to exit the Enabler interface without providing a password. Default Value: <Enabled> |
Exit Password |
Indicates the password that the user at the mobile device must supply to allow the Monitor to terminate. Possible Values: <Up to 50 alpha-numeric characters> Default Value: leave |
Prompt user before installing packages |
Indicates whether the user receives a notification before an Avalanche-deployed package is installed. If the user receives a notification, they have the option to delay the installation of the package. When this option is disabled, the user receives no notification and cannot postpone the installation. Default Value: <Disabled> |
