DataWedge

DataWedge is an application used on a Zebra device to send scanned data to the Velocity Client. If Data Scanning is enabled for a host profile from the Velocity Console, a profile called Velocity is automatically created in DataWedge. This profile is used by default, unless manually changed.

When using DataWedge, the following behaviors may occur with the Velocity Client:

•If Data Scanning is not enabled for your host profile, no Velocity DataWedge profile is created at the device level and the default profile is used instead. However, if a Velocity profile already exists at the device level, it will continue to be used.

•If you use the default DataWedge profile, typically profile0 or Velocity, with the Keystroke section enabled and no keyboard data returns after performing a scan, you must enable the Intent section of the profile.
