Scanner Settings

The following settings are available on the Host > Scanner tab of the host profile. All scanner settings other than the VT scan terminator are dependent on the hardware that will be running the Velocity Client.

VT Scan Terminator

Append termination characters to the end of scanned data. You can only set one character at a time.

The following options are available for VT hosts:

•\0D: ENTER

•\09: TAB

•\00: NULL

•[blank]: Leaving this field blank appends no character values to the end of the scanned data

The following options are available for Web:

•{ENTER}: ENTER

•{TAB}: TAB

•[blank]: Leaving this field blank appends no character values to the end of the scanned data

If you configure this field with a value and set Data Capture to Off, then you must configure the Intent section of the local DataWedge profile to be used with the Velocity Client.

Scanner Profiles

Click New to create a new scanner profile. This specifies the scan settings to associate with the host profile. The options are specific to the hardware manufacturer. The current options include:

•Bluebird

•CipherLab

•Datalogic

•Honeywell

•Panasonic

•Point Mobile

•Zebra
