Capturing Screens

The screens you import to the Velocity Console must be captured from the Ivanti Velocity or Terminal Emulation Client. You need to provision the Client with a host profile, then connect to the host and record while you navigate through all the screens you want to capture. The Client saves these screen captures to a .wltsc file which you can import into the Velocity Console.

To capture screens using the Velocity Client

1.From the Velocity Console, create a host profile.

2.On the Host > Logging tab, enable the Enable Screen Capture option.

3.Deploy the host profile to a device.

4.On the device, connect to the host.

5.Tap Menu > Capture Screens. A red recording icon appears at the bottom of the screen while you are recording.

6.Navigate through each screen of the application. Be sure to capture any error screens or optional screens in addition to the standard process screens. The Client will only record the screens that you access.

7.To end the screen capture, tap the recording icon, or tap Menu > Capture Screens. The screens are saved to a .wltsc file in the com.wavelink.velocity directory.

To capture screens using the TE Client on a Windows CE device

1.From the TE Client on the device, tap Options > Logging > Screen Capture.

2.A dialog box appears, asking you where the screen capture file should be saved. Select a location and tap OK.

3.Press Enter to connect to a host. When connected to the host, navigate through each screen of the interface. Be sure to capture any error screens or optional screens in addition to the standard process screens. The Client will only record the screens that you access.

4.After accessing all of the screens that you want to import, tap Options > Logging > Screen Capture.

5.Tap Yes.

The screen capture process is ended and the screens are saved to a .wltsc file. If you don't end the screen capture in this manner, the file will be empty. Screens aren't written to the file until you tell the Client you're done recording.
