Scanner settings

The following settings are available on the Host > Scanner tab of the host profile. All scanner settings other than the VT scan terminator are dependent on the hardware that will be running the Velocity Client.

Scan terminator

Append termination characters to the end of scanned data. You can only set one character at a time.

The following options are available for VT hosts:

•\0D: ENTER

•\09: TAB

•\00: NULL

•[blank]: Leaving this field blank appends no character values to the end of the scanned data

The following options are available for Web:

•{ENTER}: ENTER

•{TAB}: TAB

•[blank]: Leaving this field blank appends no character values to the end of the scanned data

If the scanner is in keyboard wedge mode, these terminators won't be used.

Scanner Profiles

Click New to create a new scanner profile. This specifies the scan settings to associate with the host profile. The options are specific to the hardware manufacturer. The current options include:

•Bluebird

•Camera. The camera profile is for devices that do not have a dedicated hardware scanner. You must select the symbologies to accept.

•Casio

•CipherLab

•Datalogic

•Honeywell

•Infinite Peripherals

•Keyence

•M3 Mobile

•Panasonic

•Point Mobile

•Seuic

•Zebra

•Zebra RFID. For RFID readers, select EPC Hex to return the hex value, or SGTIN to return the decimal value.
