Submitting forms

When a device requests or submits a form, the information is sent to Ivanti Neurons through the Proxy server. You must have the Proxy server installed and configured before you can submit forms.

Only forms that are in a Published state can be used by devices. When the Velocity Client is configured with the information for the Proxy server, by default the Published forms show in the Shortcuts menu of the Client. An administrator can also specify the name of the form in a script to launch the form automatically or with a keypress.

You should have the latest version of the Velocity Client to use forms through Ivanti Neurons. When the connection to the Proxy is successful, it shows up in the Connections page on the Proxy server and in the Proxy server log.

The first time that a device connects to the Proxy server, the Client prompts the device user to select the Proxy certificate from a list of certificates on the device. After the Client knows the correct certificate, it does not prompt the user again.
If you installed the certificate manually, the user should select the name of the certificate that you provided when it was installed.
If you installed the certificate using Ivanti Neurons for MDM, the name of the certificate is based on the name of the configuration created in Ivanti Neurons for MDM.
If the device user selects the wrong certificate, the connection to the Proxy server will fail. The next time the Client attempts to connect, it will prompt the user again.
