Exporting Keyboards from the Keyboard Editor

Prior to deploying keyboards to iOS and Android devices, you must export your projects from the Keyboard Editor. When you export keyboards from a Keyboard Editor project, a .xml file is created. This file is stored within a .zip file that also contains all scripts, images, and other resources needed to use the keyboards.

To export all keyboards in a project, click File > Export to Bundle. Save the .zip file to the desired location.

Once exported, the files can be deployed to mobile devices using Wavelink Avalanche or another mobile device management software.

If you manually put the keyboard bundle on a device in the TE Client folder or app, the bundle file must be named custom.zip and the .xml file within must be named keyboards.xml. If you use Avalanche to deploy this bundle to devices, you don't need to rename the files.

When you deliver a custom keyboard payload to mobile devices, all default keyboards in TE are overwritten and are no longer usable.
