How to Migrate Access Profiles
This topic applies to: Sites that use CSM authentication
Upgraded Installations
To migrate access profiles:
-
Select Migrate Access Profiles from the left pane of the Administration panel.
A list of access profiles that need to be migrated (they don't use your current authentication method or were deleted and are still referenced by orders or contracts) appears in the right pane.
- Click Migrate for the access profile you want to map to a CSM team.
- From the drop-down list, select the access profile (CSM
team) you want your existing orders and contracts to reference.
If you don't see all the CSM user teams you expected, select the hyperlink just above the list to synchronize CSM data.
Tip: If you want to apply the new access profile to most, but not all, of the affected contracts and orders, you can make changes to individual contracts and individual orders in the Order Administration and Contract Administration sections of the Administration panel after the migration.
- Click Migrate.
New Installations
If you are enabling CSM authentication on a new CAM installation (new CAM database), migrate one access profile that is bound to several built-in contracts provided within Purchasing. After you have enabled CSM authentication from CAM Administrator, relaunch Purchasing, log in with a CSM user account that has CAM Purchasing rights, and do the following:
- From the Status page, select the Administration tab, then select Migrate Access Profiles.
- Click Migrate.
- Select Administrator (CSM) from the list.
- Click Migrate.
The built-in contracts have now been updated to use the correct CSM-based profile.
