Select Filename Dialog Box

Click the Browse button and navigate to the Excel file that contains the asset data you want to import. Select a file, and then select Next to continue.

The Excel spreadsheet you want to import must, at a minimum, contain columns that are equivalent to the following asset fields:

• Asset name
• Serial number (which can be blank)

Your spreadsheet may also contain columns that are equivalent to the following asset fields:

• Description
• Type
• IP address
• Manufacturer
• Cost
• Purchase date
• Location
• Owner
• Maintenance expires
• Notes
• Any custom fields you created

You'll specify how to match up the columns in your spreadsheet with asset fields in the CAM Database in a subsequent step.
