Other Assets

Besides tracking machines in your network, you can specify that Cherwell Asset Management tracks "other assets" in your network that are not SNMP-enabled.

Other assets include any non-computing devices you want to track that are not SNMP-enabled. Unlike machines, these assets are not found during discovery, but you can manually add them to your CAM Database. Once you add an asset, you can then view it in the Other Assets panel, add it to groups of assets, and modify its properties. You can report on other assets in reports.
