Reconcile Panel

Use the Reconcile panel to edit, reconcile, and view both reconciled and unreconciled line items.

When creating an order and associated line items, you can also reconcile software line items to software license units, computer line items to inventoried computers, and other hardware line items to other assets.

How to Use the Reconcile Panel

When you select an item in the left pane, the right pane updates to show relevant information. You can view and modify reconciliation information in the right pane.

  • Select Information for information on the components in this panel and how to use them.
  • The Reconciled area shows reconciliation information; select a category to see a list of reconciled items.
    • To change how an item is reconciled, select its Reconcile link. In the screen that opens, if you selected a software line item, you have the option to change the license unit to which it is reconciled, and the license type.
    • You can also unreconcile it, or specify that you don't care about reconciling this line item (see To Remove Reconciliation Reminders below). You can also edit the associated order by selecting its order number link.
  • The Unreconciled area has several categories; select any one of them to see a list of reconciled items.
    • Click Reconcile next to any item to reconcile it. If you see line items that don't need to be reconciled or for which you don't want reminders, select Move Selected Items to Don't Care.
    • You can edit a line item's associated order by selecting its order number link.
  • The Don't Care area lists items that you don't want to reconcile and for which you won't receive reconciliation reminders.

To Receive Reconciliation Reminders

  1. Select one of the Don't Care categories on the left.
  2. Select the check boxes next to one or more items.
  3. Select Move selected items from Don't Care to move the items to the appropriate Unreconciled category. You will receive reconciliation reminders for these item(s) until you reconcile them.

To Remove Reconciliation Reminders

  1. Select one of the Unreconciled categories on the left.
  2. Select the check boxes next to one or more items.
  3. Select Move selected items to Don't Care to move the items to the appropriate Don't Care category.

To Export Reconciliation Information to Excel

  1. Click Export to Excel to export reconciliation information.
  2. Choose whether to open the results or save them to a specified location.
