Hosted Installations

The CAM External Connector is automatically installed with the CAM Administrator component. For best performance, install the CAM External Connector on the database server running SCCM. If that is not possible, install it on a workstation or server with at least 8 GB of RAM.

Once you've determined where to perform the installation:

1. Browse to location where the CAM External Connector is installed (for 64-bit installations, C:\Program Files (x86)\Cherwell Asset Management\Connector is the default).
2. Run CAMExternalConnector.exe to start the CAM External Connector tool.

Once you've configured the CAM External Connector, you can import directly from within the tool or schedule the import to run on a regular basis.
