Note About VCards and GoldMine Contacts
A VCard (.vcf
file) contains basic contact information similar to the entries made in your Personal tab or other information you enter outside of GoldMine. The details on the VCard originate from your registration information.
If the receiving system has VCard capabilities, the system will decipher the .vcf
file to import this information. If the recipient uses GoldMine to retrieve e-mail, GoldMine can use your VCard information to create a contact record if no existing contact record is detected.
The following fields are used in GoldMine when using address information for the VCard (.vcf
file):
○ Mailing Address = Address1 (street address) + Address2 (suite/room number)
○ Home Street Address = Address1
For more information about these fields, refer to Contact Management.
