Remote Systems Management Workflow

To use Remote Systems Management, Ivanti Endpoint Security must be installed along with the Ivanti Remote Systems Management platform component and the plug-in.
Refer to the following workflow steps to determine tasks when using the Ivanti Remote Systems Management within Endpoint Security.

  1. Install Platform Server Component.
    Install the Remote Systems Management platform component on your Endpoint Security server. For additional information, refer to Installing the Remote Systems Management Module Server Component.

    2. The Remote Systems Management module is listed as a platform component within Installation Manager.

  2. Install the RSM Plug-in.
    Install the Remote Systems Management plug-in on your local computer (the system from which you are accessing Endpoint Security Web console). For more information, see Installing the Remote Systems Management Plug-In.
  3. Begin Remotely Managing Endpoints.
    Begin remotely managing endpoints from your local computer using the Endpoint Security Web console. For more information on remote management menu items, see The Manage Remotely Menu.
