Day

Returns the UTC date and time interval of the entire day that is the number of days specified earlier than or later than the specified date and time.

Syntax

Day(numDays, baseDateTime, timeZone)

Parameters

numDays

(Optional) The number of days before or after the date and time specified by the baseDateTime parameter. If not specified or 0, uses the interval containing the date and time specified by the baseDateTime parameter. Can be either a positive integer, to indicate days after the default interval, or a negative integer, to indicate days before the default interval.
baseDateTime (Optional) The base date for the function. If not specified, uses the default date which is the current date and time.
timeZone

(Optional) The time zone, in IANA format.

Returns Value

DateTime interval in UTC time.

Example

$(Day(4))

If today is April 10, 2014, this function returns the DateTime interval of the entire local day of April 14, 2014 (4 days after April 10, 2014).

 

$(Day(-4))

If today is April 10, 2014, this function returns the DateTime interval of the entire local day of April 6, 2014.

 

$(Day(10, mydate))

If the value of the mydate parameter is anytime during April 10, 2014, this function returns the DateTime interval of the entire local day of April 20, 2014.


$(Day(-4, Now(), "Africa/Cairo"))

If today is April 10, 2014, this function returns the DateTime interval of the entire local day of April 6, 2014 in the Africa/Cairo time zone.
