Rather than waiting for HEAT PatchLink DeskTop to automatically synchronize (the process of checking for a
new HEAT PatchLink DeskTop Catalog), you can choose to synchronize immediately.

From the Workspace (the lower panel on the left), make sure that Monitoring is
selected.

From the Monitoring tree, select .

From the main pane, click Synchronize Now.
Tip: Although synchronizations are performed most frequently from Activity History, you can
complete syncs from any HEAT PatchLink DeskTop for System Center view available in either the
Monitoring or Administration workspaces.
Result: Synchronization begins.
- The initial synchronization may take up to an hour.
- Subsequent synchronizations should complete in under a minute.
When the sync completes, a new event displays in the
Activity
History view.
