Add Members to Local Group
Definition
Use this command to add members to a local group.
Using this command local groups can be defined by adding
domain objects. Thus it is possible to create a group of workstation admins
who are not domain admins at the same time.
The following objects can become members:
- User accounts of your workstation
- User accounts of the domain
- Global groups of the local domain
- Global groups of trusted domains
You can also select this command in the Windows User Manager. This is a local setting that can be controlled centrally by Ivanti DSM.
The command works language independent.
Settings
Course of action
- Create a global group named "Workstation Admins".
- Select the user account you want to add to the group.
- Add the global group "Workstation Admins" to the "local Admins" group (NetInstall command LocalGroupAddMembers).
