Description: |
DSM allows clients to download massdata from other clients in the same subnet and not only from the depot. This is referred to as Staging via Neighborcast or peer to peer staging (P2P). Staging via Neighborcast is not enabled by default. This setting allows you to enable it. To use Staging via Neighborcast, DSM must have a checksum for each package. Starting with DSM 2016.1, the system automatically calculates a checksum for every package. To be able to use Staging via Neighborcast for older packages as well, specify the setting Checksum for existing packages (prior to DSM 2016.1) in the Repository section. |
