LDAP Filters
LDAP filters in the DSMC are available to make administrating installation targets and the software library simple and effective.
The filters are based on the LDAP standard, but can be grouped in different interfaces of the DSMC interactively. This eliminates syntax checking. Also, users can easily select the available filter criteria instead of entering them manually.
LDAP filters are limited to 4000 characters per filter.
LDAP filters are used, for example, in the following places:
- To form dynamic groups in the organization tree
- To form dynamic categories in the software library
- To define base inventory prerequisites for a package in the Packaging Workbench
- To specify import criteria for AutoInsert rules .
