System Requirements for the MDM Integration

There are certain requirements for integrating mobile devices in DSM. The most important requirement is a well-functioning MDM solution, of course.

Supported MDM Solutions

• HEAT MDM, version 3.17.0 or higher (Cloud and/or On-Premise)
• SaaS-enabled third-party software solution for managing mobile devices
  The solution must provide an interface to a web-based console.

Configuration

The following configuration is required so that DSM is able to communicate with the MDM solution:

• The DSM AddOn Mobile Device Management Integration is installed and licensed.
  Licensing is only required if you are using Ivanti HEAT MDM.
• The settings are configured in the configuration database (ICDB) in the section Mobile Device Management (MDM).

• The DSMC computer must be connected to the MDM server directly so that the MDM user interface can be displayed in the DSMC.
• Ivanti HEAT MDM only:
  • The MDM Integration Service management application is installed on a Management Point
  • The Management Point is connected to the respective MDM solution via the internet proxy settings of the Management Point.
