Using automatic version control

With automatic version control, the version number for the CI automatically increments when you update an attribute that is version controlled.

To update a CI that is under automatic version control:

1. Open the required CI window, for example from a query results list.
   The CI window appears, with a Versions tab at the bottom.
2. Update the required values, then click Save.
   If any of the attributes you changed are version controlled, a new row appears in the Versions tab corresponding to the version you have just created.

You can view the details of any of the versions of the CI by clicking the required row in the Versions tab.
