Adding Ivanti Neurons for MDM as your MDM server in MTD console
You must add Ivanti Neurons for MDM as your Mobile Device Management (MDM) server in MTD threat management console to enable Ivanti Mobile Threat Defense. After entering Ivanti Neurons for MDM details such as the URL and administrator user name and password, MTD console synchronizes with Ivanti Neurons for MDM. You can select the Ivanti Neurons for MDM custom attributes you want to use in MTD console. The relevant users, devices, and apps from Ivanti Neurons for MDM are shown in the MTD console.
Warning! Do not select any option that overwrites the password for your Ivanti Neurons for MDM users.
Before you begin
- Locate the user name and password for the MTD console tenant you received after purchasing Ivanti Mobile Threat Defense Solution for MDM.
- Be sure you have assigned an API administrator with appropriate roles.
Procedure

Log in to your MTD console with the credentials provided by Ivanti, Inc. The username and password defined for the MTD administrator are required to establish communication with Ivanti Neurons for MDM and synchronize the two servers.

Navigate to Manage > Integrations > Add MDM.

Select Cloud to add it to the MTD console as an MDM server.

Enter the following required information:
Item Description URL
Enter the FQDN or externally accessible URL for your Ivanti Neurons for MDM in secure hypertext protocol (HTTPS). For example:
https://na2.ivanti.com
Username/Password
Enter an administrator username and password for Ivanti Neurons for MDM. The administratoruser should be assigned several roles, including API, as described in Creating the Ivanti Mobile Threat Defense API user and assigning roles.
MDM Name
Enter a name for your Ivanti Neurons for MDM.
Background sync
Select to synchronize users between Ivanti Neurons for MDM and MTD console.

Click Next.

In the last window, select the Ivanti Neurons for MDM custom attributes you want to use as MTD console groups. The list of MTD console groups is arranged in order of priority. Move a group name up or down to change its priority.
Ivanti recommends you create any new custom attributes in the admin console before synchronizing the MTD console with Ivanti Neurons for MDM, otherwise the custom attributes will not show up when this step is performed.

Click Finish.

Synchronize the MTD console with Ivanti Neurons for MDM. Make sure the synchronization is successful.
Whenever MDM information is removed from the MTD console, be sure to manually disable or remove the Ivanti Mobile Threat Defense Activation configuration from Ivanti Neurons for MDM.
