Installing and Configuring for Splunk Enterprise
To install and configure the Ivanti Neurons for MDM Splunk app:

Log into Splunk in your web browser. For example http://[splunkservername]. Replace [splunkservername] with the actual DNS name of your Splunk server. |

Open the Splunk Apps menu.

Select Install App From File. |
|

Choose the mobileiron_cloud-2.2-bundle.tar.gz file you downloaded in step 1. |

|
Enable Upgrade app if you are upgrading from a previous version of the app. |

Click Upload. The app appears in the Apps list.
|
|

|
Open the Settings menu. |
|
10.
|
Click Data inputs.
The Data inputs page appears.
|
|

|
Click mobileiron_cloud. |
|
12.
|
Click Ivanti.
|
|

|
Enable Fetch Data from Ivanti Neurons for MDM if you are using this instance of the app to connect to Ivanti Neurons for MDM and collect data. If you are using this instance of the app only to visualize data, for example, in a distributed Splunk environment, then leave Fetch Data from Ivanti Neurons for MDM disabled.

If you enabled Fetch Data from Ivanti Neurons for MDM, then configure the associated fields: |

Ivanti Neurons for MDM admin URL Enter the URL to the target Ivanti Neurons for MDM instance. Ensure that you specify the entire URL with “https” included, for example, https://na2.mobileiron.com |

Ivanti Neurons for MDM Read-only admin username: Enter the username of the Ivanti Neurons for MDM user with the Device Management and System Read Only roles that you created as part of the prerequisites. |

Ivanti Neurons for MDM Read-only admin password: Enter the password of the Ivanti Neurons for MDM user with the Device Management and System Read Only roles that you created as part of the prerequisites. |

Confirm password: Confirm the password. |
|

Polling Interval: Select the amount of minutes to wait between fetching data. |
|

Select Settings > Server Controls > Restart Splunk. |
|
17.
|
Restart the Splunkd service or daemon on the Splunk Enterprise Server machine. |
