Creating an Enterprise Enrollment Rule

Android devices can be enrolled in Avalanche with an Android Enterprise account. To enroll a device with an Android Enterprise, create an enrollment rule that connects to the enterprise account, install the Android Enterprise enabler on the device, and then enroll the device using the enterprise enrollment rule.

You must create at least one enrollment rule and associate it with an enterprise account in order to enroll Android Enterprise devices. The same enrollment rule can be used for any management mode.

Creating an enterprise enrollment rule

1.In the Navigation Tree, select the region or folder you want to create a rule for and click View.
The Details page appears.

2.Click Add in the Enrollment Rules panel.
The Enrollment Rule dialog box appears.

3.Enter an enrollment ID and password in the text boxes.

Each enrollment rule must have a unique ID. We recommend that enrollment rules use IDs that indicate the purpose of the enrollment rule.

4.Select Use ANS notifications.

5.Select an enterprise from the Android ESA drop-down menu.

6.If you want the device to display a End User License Agreement (EULA) to the device user, you can upload one of your own or modify the template provided by Ivanti. Click Download template to view the sample template, or click Browse to upload your own text file.

7.Click Save.

8.Click the Needs Deployment in the upper right corner of the Details page.

9.Select Deploy Now.

-Or-

Select Deploy Later and enter a date and time for the deployment.

A system message will appear in the console when the deployment is completed.

Once you have created an enterprise enrollment rule, you can connect devices to your enterprise account. For more information, see Connecting Devices to an Enterprise.
