If the initial configuration of the device allows it, the device user can manage the wireless network settings for the device from the Enabler interface. This includes IP address assignment, DNS server addresses, and encryption and authentication.
If an Avalanche network profile is applied on the device, you can view the properties of the network profile. (This includes network profiles that are applied using Scan to Config.) You cannot modify the properties in a network profile, but you can switch to using manual configuration and provide new settings.
Whether these options are available on the device depends upon the settings on the Adapter tab when the device was configured. You can enable or disable these options using the Enabler configuration utility or the Avalanche Enabler configuration package. For more information, see Adapter Tab.
To view and manage wireless network settings from the Enabler:
1 From the Enabler interface, tap File > Settings.
2 Enter a password in the Input Settings Password dialog box.
3 Select the Adapter tab.
4 Ensure the Manage Network Settings and Manage Wireless Settings options are enabled, depending on what you want to manage.
5 If you want to view the settings for the Avalanche network profile, tap the [...] button to the right of the Use Avalanche Network Profile option.
The Avalanche Network Profile dialog box opens. The exact list of properties depends on what properties you configured for the network profile. All encrypted properties are masked (*****) for security purposes.

Users can also review network profile properties by selecting Help > Adapter Info. No password is required. This option may be disabled from the Menu tab of the configuration utility, however.
6 If you want to use manual settings instead of a network profile, enable Use Manual Settings and tap the [...] button to the right of the option.
The Avalanche Network Profile dialog box opens. If the Manage Network Settings option is enabled, the Network and DNS tabs are available. If the Manage Wireless Settings option is enabled, the Wireless and Credentials tabs are available.

7 Configure the settings as desired and tap OK.
8 Tap OK to save the settings and return to the Enabler main screen.
