Using Safe Mode

Safe Mode in Velocity utilizes the traditional black-and-green screen common to terminal emulation applications. While in Safe Mode, Velocity's ability to render pages in HTML is deactivated and you navigate through the screens using keystrokes.

When Safe Mode is deactivated, the Velocity Client utilizes its built-in HTML reader to predict the format of screens or use a theme created in the Velocity Console and present screens with updated screen layouts and styles. For more information about formatting elements of a screen, see Editing Screen Elements. To create themes and edit the elements of a screen, see the Velocity Console User Guide.

To use Safe Mode:

1  From the Velocity app, tap the Menu button in the top-right corner of the screen.

2  Tap Turn Safe Mode On.

Safe Mode is enabled and the screen returns to the traditional black-and-green format without an HTML theme applied.

To disable Safe Mode:

1  From the Velocity app, tap the Menu button in the top-right corner of the screen.

2  Tap Turn Safe Mode Off.

Safe Mode is disabled and Velocity applies your HTML theme to all screens.
