Integrating Avalanche with Fuse

When Avalanche is integrated with LANDESK Fuse, you can give users access to corporate-approved and wrapped applications. In order to facilitate this integration, you must currently use LANDESK Service Desk. For information on installing Fuse and integrating with this service, reference its respective user guides.

Once Fuse is integrated with the aforementioned service, you can extend that integration to include Avalanche.

To integrate Avalanche with Fuse:

1.From the Fuse Server Console, select the desired instance.

2.Under the Configured Applications section, click Edit for Fuse. If this option does not already exist, under the Available Applications section click Create for Fuse.

The Edit Application screen appears.

3.Enter your Service Desk WebAccess URL, or leave blank if you're using LANDESK Management Suite.

4.Provide your CompanyId. This can be found from the Avalanche Console by clicking My Account in the top-right corner of the screen. Copy and paste the Company ID provided at the top of the My Account page.

5.Enter the AvalancheEServerUrl (https://aod.wavelink.com if you're using Avalanche SaaS) and AvalancheSDServerURL, which can be found on the Inventory screen from the Avalanche Console. If these fields aren't active on the form, you must modify the StandardConfigs.xml file, which is located at C:\ProgramData\LANDESK\ConfigurationCenter.

The ProgramData folder is hidden by default. To locate this file in Windows Explorer, select the Hidden items option on the View tab. It then appears in as a selectable folder beneath Program Files.

Copy the following text at the bottom of the file within the <FeatureToggle> </FeatureToggle> tags:

<Name>AvalancheOnDemand</Name>

<Value>Enabled</Value>

6.Click Generate to create a Public Key.

7.Click Download PublicKey to download publicKey.pke to your computer. This file must be uploaded to Avalanche to allow full integration with Fuse.

8.Click OK.

9.From the Avalanche Console, navigate to Tools > System Settings.

10.Under Public Key (Fuse Server), click Add and select publicKey.pke from where it was downloaded to your computer.

11.Click Save.

12.Navigate to the Inventory screen and click Needs Deployment to deploy the changes.

Fuse is now fully integrated with Avalanche and will display app software payloads from the Fuse Launchpad screen.
