Deploying Certificates

You can deploy certificates to enrolled mobile devices after you've successfully set up Microsoft SCEP and Avalanche with the requisite information and profiles. For more information on setting up certificate management, follow the steps outlined on Certificate Management. Once you've completed those associated tasks, deploy the changes to the mobile device server.

Once deployed, the certificates are installed silently on devices using Windows Mobile and Windows CE. Device users cannot decline or stop the installation of a certificate on the device.

When a certificate is successfully installed on a mobile device, the certificate becomes listed on the Device Details page for each device. From this screen, you can view the active certificates installed on a device, as well as any previously-expired certificates for record keeping. For more information, see Viewing Mobile Device Details.

If the Network Profile is disabled, all active certificates are removed from devices associated with the profile.
